Project Management
Hiring a senior PM takes six months and six figures. The Ongoing Project Support (OPS) retainer gives you PMP-certified project leadership on the same day you need it, at the engagement level that fits your work.
A senior project manager costs $120,000 to $160,000 per year before benefits. The hiring process takes four to six months. And once you hire, you’re committed — regardless of whether the project workload justifies it.
The OPS retainer bridges that gap. You get PMP-certified project leadership at the level your work actually demands — Compass for governance and oversight, Navigator for active PM partnership, or Command for full embedded PM ownership.
All three tiers give you direct access to a senior PM. The difference is how much time, how much ownership, and how deeply embedded they are in your operations.
PM oversight and governance layered on top of existing operations.
Best for: Teams with internal ownership who need senior PM oversight and reporting discipline.
Active, hands-on PM support embedded in your operations.
Best for: Organizations that need a PM partner actively involved day-to-day but don’t need full-time dedication.
A dedicated PM operating as an extension of your leadership team.
Best for: High-stakes engagements demanding full accountability from execution through closeout.
A focused conversation about your current initiatives, team structure, and what PM support would look like in practice.
We recommend the right tier based on your project complexity, team size, and workload.
Statement of Work signed, kickoff scheduled, tools and communication cadence established.
Regular cadence of standups, status reporting, stakeholder alignment, and delivery tracking — at your tier’s engagement level.
Monthly review of scope and engagement fit. Adjust, continue, or transition as your needs evolve.
We help you figure this out during the Discovery Session. As a general guide: Compass if you have internal ownership and need oversight and reporting structure; Navigator if you need an active PM partner involved daily but not full-time; Command if you need complete project ownership from start to finish.
Yes, with notice. Tiers can be adjusted at the end of a monthly cycle based on changing project needs. We review fit monthly and recommend adjustments when the work warrants it.
Compass: 1-month minimum. Navigator: 2-month minimum. Command: 3-month minimum plus a 30-day structured offboarding period to ensure clean transition of project ownership back to your team.
Yes. Command is a ~40 hours/week engagement. Taking on full project ownership means being genuinely embedded in your operations — that’s not compatible with splitting time across multiple clients. One Command engagement at a time is how we maintain the quality that tier demands.
